Why YogaYourVoice
But it is shaped by our emerging emotions (crying, laughing, etc.).
As babies and children, we feel and we express feelings….we turn emotions into voice, we are born voice artists.
As adults we think and express thoughts, we turn thoughts into structured speech through our voice…
As we grow up, we fall into the mold of being proper and, in a way, the expression of who we are diminishes. In school we are trained to think and structure sentences in a certain way, to make sense of what we want to say. We rarely hear “feel! …to find the words!”, in order to allow our voice to be produced effortlessly and bring out its full range, wherever and whenever needed. All of us have a capable voice range that we limit, unfortunately ……
Our voice is used to reaching a certain point in both volume and frequency…. we are concerned about how our voice will sound to others… our mind intervenes and judges the result before it is even heard.
All the tensions throughout our lives, all our defenses, our inhibitions, our negative reactions (ours and others’ towards us), our fears, our guilts, our shame and so on, often reduce the effectiveness of our natural voice and distort it… Consequently, our communication is also distorted… our larynx, our speech center… our 5th chakra is blocked. What we need is the removal of the blocks…..our voice is very easily abused due to technical imperfections, but also due to emotional oppression and all kinds of dictates and prohibitions.
The goal is therefore a voice in direct contact with the emotional impulse, which is shaped by the intellect, but not inhibited by it. When all the emphasis is placed only on the purely technical approach for speech clarity or perfect singing, then the emotional origin of the voice is bypassed. Our authentic voice is hidden and weakened. So, when we need it in some intense emotion, e.g. of fear, our voice does not have the power to escape from within us with all its force, and it is drowned. How many times haven’t we felt our throat close after a scream? And the same hoarseness of the voice after intense crying or anger?

The YogaYourVoice technique intervenes and breaks down the cement we have built around our voice, it helps to undo speech habits acquired in childhood that shaped and/or limited the potential of our voice. The YogaYourVoice focuses on reclaiming the voice that is produced through our feelings and not just the vocal technique which the mind dictates. In other words, the YogaYourVoice allows the body to revive the child’s voice…our true, natural voice and make it stronger.
The practice awakens the seven chakras in our body through vocal vibrations. It is addressed to performers (singers, actors, dancers), to those whose voice is a work tool, but also to those who wish to develop, discover and to amplify their voice. In addition, it is aimed at those who wish to develop and improve emotionally, mentally, but also reduce work stress, anxiety or pressure, while they are called upon to respond to the challenges and demands of everyday life. The voice acts as a release medium and its vocal frequencies/vibrations help to release emotional toxicities and allow the free flow of energy through our bodies..
The voice is responsible for the tone and the color of the sound, the intensity and the expression/interpretation of verbal communication. Speech provides the specific information for this communication. If we are therefore to fully train the voice and speech part, we need new approaches and stimuli that will persuade the involuntary, autonomic nervous system to change its habitual behavior and banish its contractions…. Reintroduce yourself with your voice and don’t judge it. Try it: ” «feel, breathe, talk»…”…

YogaYourVoice
Our seven Chakras in detail:
1st. It relates to grounding, how well we step on our feet. For artists and those who use their voice as a working tool, it has to do with stage presence and comfort in public exposure.
2nd. All our insecurities, guilt, self-esteem, and many traumas are accumulated there. For artists and those who work with their voice, it relates to the air and its proper support.
3rd. The power of will! Our core and our strength! It is connected to our digestive system, what we can digest and what we cannot. For those interested in the voice it relates to its agility, flexibility, and control.
4th. Our love nestles there, our overprotectiveness or not, how friendly we are, understanding, harmonious relationships, etc., while for artists it is connected to the dynamics of the voice, expressiveness, and emotion.
5th.Our neck! The center of free self-expression and communication. For those who use their voice professionally, it is associated with the correct articulation, resonance, and sound production of the voice.
6th. Our third eye! Responsible for the inability to form our thinking and/or make decisions or seek confirmation. For voice professionals, it is associated with proper tuning and preparation before expressing the first word.
7th. Relates to how comfortable we feel within a group or even within the universe. Do we feel disconnected or integrated? As for professionals, the 7th chakra is associated with the correct absorption of information, and imagination, but also the integration into the workplace, e.g. in a theatrical production.
